MADISON, FL – North Florida College and CareerSource North Florida are teaming up to connect rural job seekers with high-demand employers at the first-ever Career & Opportunity Expo, scheduled for September 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NFC’s Colin P. Kelly Fitness Center.

The Expo will feature more than 20 regional employers actively hiring, reflecting steady job growth across Madison, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Suwannee, and Taylor counties. Many of these employers are seeking candidates for in-demand roles in healthcare, education, manufacturing, business, and public service — industries critical to rural North Florida’s economy.

“Rural communities like ours thrive when residents have access to career pathways close to home,” said Snowey Hagan, NFC’s Coordinator of the Career Transfer Center. “This event allows students, alumni, and community members to connect directly with employers ready to hire and learn what education or training can help them advance.”

In addition to immediate hiring opportunities, attendees will discover educational programs at NFC that align with local workforce needs, including fast-track certificates and degree pathways designed to prepare graduates for well-paying jobs. NFC’s workforce programs boast strong employment outcomes, with many graduates securing positions in their field shortly after completion.
